Dr. Mitchell is brought to Daybreak Rotary by Rotarian Gil Jones.
Elizabeth Mitchell, AuD, CCC-A, F-AAA, is a Doctor of Audiology at AudioNova in the Marble Falls clinic. Her clinical specialties include the Ear to Brain Connection, as she is a Certified Dementia Practitioner. Dr. Mitchell holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA, is Board Certified by the American Board of Audiology, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. She successfully led a clinical trial to gain FDA approval for a novel hearing technology.
She is passionate about causes like hearing and cognition, as well as early identification and treatment of hearing loss. Dr. Mitchell aims to help her patients and loved ones communicate easier and more fulfillingly. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, graduating in 2005 with a major in Communication Sciences and Disorders. After undergrad, she earned her Doctor of Audiology from Northwestern University in 2009.
Dr. Mitchell became a hearing care provider after seeing her mother struggle with communication and confidence before receiving help for her congenital hearing loss. Her favorite part of working as a hearing care provider is changing people's lives. She enjoys watching her three little girls grow, exercising and reading.
This year the Rotary Presidential Theme is “Making a Difference.”
As Rotarians, business leaders and citizens of our local community it is our responsibility to make a difference. At Daybreak Rotary we do this with our Foster Care and Adoption Awareness Program, College and Vocational Scholarships, and sending high school students to Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA), along with many Global Programs we support.
