Former Granite Shoals mayor and leader in this tennis project, Frank Reilly, gave us a great update on the current stage and future plans for the Roddick Youth Tennis Foundation.

The Roddick Tennis Center at Quarry Parks in Granite shoals at the municipal complex now has two quick-start courts, two full size covered courts, and the RYTF is working toward the next phase to add 4-6 regular courts.

The Center is planned to eventually have 18 courts and the ability to host USTA tournaments. Sanctioned tournaments of that nature can bring in as many as 1200 people, according to Reilly.

He also mentioned the fifth annual Vegas by the River fund-raiser to be held November 28, 2015 at the Marble Falls Pavilion. The Center will also have a lengthy run/walk, hike, bike trail which Leonel Manzano helped to lay out and other outdoor features for young and old.
