Literacy Highland Lakes and its 100 volunteers continue to enhance adult education in the Highland Lakes.

Orville Cleverly, an active volunteer in LHL's GED program gave us an overview of the many services they provide. In addition to tutoring "non-traditional" students toward attaining their GED, the group also has a citizenship program with English as a Second Language assistance.

Orville CleverlyNotably, LHL has added to its fixed location GED tutoring with the ability to meet one-on-one at alternative times for students who cannot meet at the scheduled times. This added outreach is but one example of the efforts to which LHL goes to assist anyone who wants to further their education in spite of the rigors of family and work life.
